Ba’ Noises – excited voices of people as the Kirkwall Ba’ Game is being played. The Ba’ is a game played every Christmas Day and New Years Day in which Orcadian men compete as Uppies and Doonies (depending on family allegiance and/or where you were born). The game is staple of the Orkney calendar and has been played in many parishes and islands over the years. c 1960 – 1975
